Fri{YAY} Favorites : DIY Outdoor Wedding

AHHHHHH We did it! J & I are finally married. I get to call the man of my dreams my HUSBAND!!!!

There are still happy tear flowing out of my eyes overtime I think about it. That day literally the best day of my life.

But the place we had the wedding which in talk about here was totally Do It Yourself, which I personally loved because we could make it anyway we wanted it. We started decorating at 10:00am, I don't think the final people left till about 2:00 or 3:00pm. Jake and I went and helped for about two hours, just to make sure it was set up exactly how we wanted it for the most part and then left the rest to our amazing families.

For our wedding we  I wanted a beachy type theme, but weren't sure how to accomplish it at a barn... We pulled it off! We had lanterns full of shells on the tables, and lining the walls, starfish and conch shells strategically placed throughout the venue, a ships wheel at the alter guiding us to a happy life together. (cheesy I know but I thought it was cute)

Here is what some of the finished product looks like during the day time. All decorated by family and most of the decor came from my parents house!

We did not do the typical/traditional you cant see the bride the night before until she walks down the isle. Which I admit we really wanted to, but the circumstances did not permit and we were totally fine with it. At 1 oclock Saturday we went our separate ways until our First Look a few hours later.

We are still waiting for pictures from our photographer but we did get a little sneak peek... Which made me cry!

Weekend Wanderings

Minus the weekend part....

Hello all and Happy Monday!! As some of y'all saw on my Instagram the first time J & I actually got to relax this weekend was about 5 o'clock yesterday.

Our weekend was quite full. J never really gets a full weekend, he works 9-5 on Saturdays so it is usually my cleaning day. This weekend was so busy for the both of us.

Saturday I woke up at 5am to head over and watch our 5 month old niece and {almost}9 year old nephew for about 12 hours. I was exhausted and coffee wasn't cutting it but I made it through. The day had its moments of good and bad.
I love babies I do, and part of me wants one but right now I like being able to love one and hold them for a bit and give them back when I am done.
Our nephew is so easy, he played his new Madden 2016 just about the whole day I wish I was able to do more with him that day but the baby is not a fan of being put down.

Good thing she's cute!

Sunday was an early morning again, not so early but 8am on a Sunday and then a hour and forty five min drive isn't fun. However it was for a good reason, we finally saw our wedding location in person!!
Did it stress me out a bit sure, there is so much to do and organize all by myself its a bit overwhelming but my mother has reassured J that she's going to pump me with mimosas all day so I avoid stress at all costs...as much as possible at least.

We were so busy looking at all the details and figure out all our decor we will use from their GIANT shed of stuff, my mom got a new pictures of some of the things we will use

Its going to be a Beachy Rustic kinda feel with a fire pit for s'mores and we are incorporating our little bit of nerdy side in there as well. IM SO EXCITED!!!!!

We finally got home about 4:30 and cleaned a bit and tried to relax before cooking dinner and prepping lunches and what not for this week.

This is going to be a good week for me I am off all week and its my birthday week!! I start my new job on Monday March 7th so this week will be my time to clean and relax and get a lot of wedding stuff done and who knows maybe ill get crazy and write some blog post ahead of time!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and has a fabulous week.

Here is some more of our gorgeous engagement photos that I cannot stop going though every chance I get. I am so lucky to be marrying such a handsome man! These pictures make me fall more and more in love!

I love that Rob captured the love in that mans eyes

Overly Overwhelmed

Well I have been a terrible blogger... But I have a good reason!!
The location we were planing to have our wedding at sold. We were planing on getting married at J's parents house, one last big hoorah before they move 10 hours away.

Well it sold for cash this last Sunday so the closing date is a month out from the date we picked for the wedding, no contingency plan was put into the contract either. "It was like sorry house sold, whats the plan now"

Iv been crying since Sunday night. I dont know what we are going to do, everywhere we like is booked and we don't want to push it back but its looking like that will happen.

In the last 72 hours I have contacted over 30 locations. From houses on the beach to rent and have a backyard wedding as planned to places that will do the whole thing for me. I am overly stressed at this point, and so is my mother bless her.

She has called and called to switch things around and try to find a date that works for us, to seeing if our caterers will be available and well I could cry even more but I have run out of tears.

Once we re pick a date I know I will feel alot better but starting from scratch with a wedding less than three months away is hard needless to say.

The original invites will come in today and I know the tears will flow once again. I am just ready to have something set and start being able to breath again.

BUTTTT..... This is where I think its going to be (J wont commit to a date he keeps having me ask about other ones)

It is about a hour and forty-five minutes from us. Its not the beach, its not a church or someones backyard but it is going to make more one heck of a party.

We can invite more family and friends and don't have to say "No Kids" since they will have a bigger space to run wild in!

It is still going to be so stressful, I need to break out my book of Lists from the Knot that I got for Christmas or my Birthday... one of those holidays.

Iv got a never ending headache and everlasting exhaustion that no amount of coffee or tea will cure.

These next 60 days might kill me but at the end it will all be worth it!

Wish us luck!!
